Ephram Lustgarten writes: As some of you may have heard, Robert Simon WG'06 recently passed away after a three-year battle with cancer. He was a friend, colleague and classmate of mine from Wharton MBA and an important contributor to our Wharton Real Estate community as a Vice President within Morgan Stanley's Real Estate Funds (MSREF) based in London. Robert is now resting peacefully in his hometown of Dusseldorf, Germany. A memorial service was held at the Pembroke College Chapel in Oxford on January 29. Robert asked for donations to be made to Pembroke College, Oxford, in support of their new building project, Bridging Centuries. Robert felt very attached to Pembroke College having spent many happy years there as a student. He was supportive of this transformational project--especially given his keen interest in real estate. To make a donation, please click here, and tick the box marked "Robert Simon Appeal" in the Additional Information section. If you have moments or experiences with Robert that you would like to share, please let me know directly (elustgarten@starwood.com) and I'll make sure your thoughts are received by his wife, Katherine Wen WG'06, and his family.
