  • Senior transaction manager within real estate finance group responsible for closing and managing construction and bridge loans secured by all of the primary property types for several of the groups major clients. Closed $2.3 billion of loans to date.
  • Worked closely with senior originators and clients on evaluating and, when appropriate, winning new loan opportunities.
  • Performed all aspects of the due-diligence and underwriting for loans including analyzing property level data and guarantor financial statements, and reviewing and approving appraisals, property condition assessments and environmental reports.
  • Prepared final underwriting and credit approval memoranda and presented loans to the real estate finance groups credit committee and the banks separate risk management group as part of internal credit approval process.
  • Managed all aspects of the structuring, legal documentation and closing of approved loans with clients, co-lenders (for a combination of syndicated loans and loans with subordinate debt), internal deal team and outside legal counsel.
  • Monitored closed loans (including analyzing, structuring and closing loan restructurings, modifications and extensions) during hold period and managed loan exit, which was typically through permanent loans from CIBC that were securitized.
